Welcome to UMLY.net, the staff and volunteer portal of the YMCA of the Upper Main Line, Berwyn, Lionville and Eagleview.  We ask all current employees and volunteers to register an account with the web site.  This will not only give you access to the appropriate HR and Business Office forms, but it will also allow you to keep up to date with association and branch happenings.  This site is currently an informational site, but will be expanding to a discussions forum for departments in order to provide additional avenues of communications for staff and supervisors.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I register an account?  Select the REGISTER link in the Site Login box to the right of this message.  Then ACCEPT the Forum Rules and Policies.  Finally complete all the REQUIRED information, CONFIRM the security code, and select REGISTER.  You should be granted employee permissions by 12 noon the next business day (Mon-Fri).

Why don't I gain immediate access to staff only areas of the web site?  It takes a full business day for the administrator to confirm your employment with the YMCA.  Once permissions are granted to the website, you will be able to download forms, take trainings or review other information meant only for staff.

What if I forget my password?  Select the FORGOT PASSWORD link in the Site Login box to the right of this message.  Then enter the username and email you registered the account with and select REQUEST NEW PASSWORD.  A temporary password will be emailed to your address so that you can log in.

How do I change my temporary password?  After logging in with a temporary password, select EDIT PROFILE from the Member Settings box at the bottom left of this page.  Type your new password twice (NEW PASSWORD and RETYPE NEW PASSWORD) and the temporary password once (OLD PASSWORD) and then select UPDATE PROFILE.

NOTE:  In order to receive permissions to access additional areas, you MUST provide your full real name and email when registering.  Failure to do so will result in the deletion of your account.

DELETE COOKIES

Login Successful, but still not able to access staff only areas or cookie expiration.  If either of these occur, go to your browsers tools menu, select options and delete cookies.  You will need to close the browser and reopen it once this is complete.  If this method does not work, you will need to find your systems cookie folder and delete one or more cookies manually.  It is most likely a hidden system folder so here are directions if using Windows XP (other OS directions may vary).

  • Close web browser
  • Start
  • My Computer
  • Tools
  • Folder Options
  • View
  • Select Radio - Show hidden files and folders
  • Uncheck Box - Hide protected operating system files
  • Apply
  • OK
  • Local Disk
  • Documents and Settings
  • User - Select your user profile
  • Cookies
  • Delete all of the files that match the following (all options may end in [#])
    • "user"@umly
    • "user"@umly.net
    • "user"@www.umly
    • "user"@www.umly.net
  • Open your web browser and you should be able to successfully log in
  • Verify successful log in by confirming the Member Settings box (bottom left column) contains the message "Welcome back "user".  If it says "Welcome back Guest", then you were unsuccessful in your log in despite a "Successful Login" message.
